Today is a studio day at last.

Digital drawing, 25cm diameter

I have had a busy week with the day jobs - but I am rewarding myself with the rest of the day in my studio. I'm going to do some more work on my 'connect' drawings (25 cm diameter ones) and as they're so small they shouldn't take too long!

'Drawn to Digital' Exhibition, April 2012

I'm currently juggling quite a few different drawings and trying to work out their relationships to each other and connections between digital/ hand. Part of my day job is programming exhibitions at The Crompton in Derby and so I've decided to have an exhibition there myself this April/ May (...a perk of the job :)). I'm going to use the opportunity to just show the digital drawings (from tiny to massive...) so I can get a proper idea of how they are working, presentation options and also, hopefully, get some feed back. It will also give me the opportunity to work out the best way of explaining 'digital drawings' as the customers will soon let me know if they don't get it...

Going round in circles...

My recent work with circles reminded me of some older work - and reinforced how certain issues and concerns continue to keep resurfacing...

Hand and digital combined....

Today I did a quick trial of a hand and digital drawing combined. I printed the digital drawing onto cartridge paper and then drew on top. I shall pursue this further...
